Transparent aligners (such as Invisalign) are removable, virtually invisible aligners that move teeth gradually. Unlike fixed braces, they can be removed for eating and brushing. They are particularly popular with adults and teenagers who want discreet treatment. At Remi Dental, we will work with you to find the best solution for you.

The duration varies according to the complexity of the case. A light treatment may last 3 to 6 months, while a full treatment generally lasts 12 to 24 months. Each patient receives a personalised treatment plan at the first consultation, with a precise estimate of the duration and number of aligners.

Orthodontic treatment can begin as early as adolescence, generally between the ages of 12 and 14, when the permanent teeth are in place. However, more and more adults are opting for treatment at any age. There is no upper limit: our dentists treat teenagers as well as adults aged 40, 50 or over.

In Belgium, orthodontic treatment is partially reimbursed by the RIZIV for patients under the age of 18, provided that the anomaly index is sufficient. For adults, reimbursement is more limited. Some mutual insurance companies offer additional services. We can advise you on the steps to take during your consultation.

Yes, that's precisely one of the great advantages of transparent aligners. Made from ultra-thin thermoformed plastic, they are virtually invisible in everyday use. Most patients report that their colleagues or relatives do not notice that they are wearing braces. For best results, we recommend wearing them 20 to 22 hours a day.
